Today is voting day all across England and Wales for the election of local Police and Crime Commissioners (PCC). Thiis is a new and unfamiliar role, yet there has been very little publicity from the candidates. How are we supposed to be informed voters?

Our hamster “smokey” has lived a long time. Over two years – a long time for a little rodent. But now he is getting old and losing the fur that gave him his name. Now he looks like a wrinkly old man. But he still has loads of energy.

I was poking around in some old footage and found a shot of our back garden in 1996, so I knocked it together with some other, later, shots of our cherry tree.
Today I had another go with the car-mounted camera and recorded the drive from where I live to my office. This time I switched off the annoying datestamp and positioned the camera in a better place.
There was quite a lot of traffic, so I have speeded it up. I was going to replace the sound but it ends up kind of amusing.
